PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE
Speech therapy services my be covered by your private health insurer. Contact you health fund to find out if speech pathology is covered and the amount they cover.
MEDICARE
CHRONIC CONDITION MANAGEMENT PLANIf your child has been experiencing communication difficulties for over 6 months, you can contact your GP about a Chronic Condition Management Plan. They can provide a referral letter that enables rebates from 5 x sessions.
M10 PATHWAYIf you child is suspected of or diagnosed with stuttering, speech sound disorders, and cleft lip/palate, your GP can refer them to the M10 pathway were up to 8 assessment sessions and 20 intervention sessions are eligible for a rebate.
